Eliasan Consulting is a boutique professional services firm based in Seattle and expanding to Washington, DC in Fall 2023. Our areas of expertise include international trade, market development, grant administration, and more. Our clients span the commercial, trade, and government sectors - and they all trust us to provide expert guidance and advice on their most pressing challenges.

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Account Manager to manage and develop long-term relationships with a portfolio of clients, connecting with key business executives and stakeholders. Account Manager responsibilities include being the primary point of contact for clients and identifying new business opportunities among existing customers. Daily tasks may involve project management, strategic planning, grant administration, trade data analysis, or market research. This position may also require occasional domestic and international travel.

Candidates who will thrive in this role will have strong attention to detail, be data-oriented, able to work independently, work well under pressure, and like to take initiative. Successful candidates will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary point of contact and develop a trusted advisor relationship with customers, key stakeholders, and industry executives
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Manage client expenditures and program budgets, including reviewing/approving invoices for payment and tracking spending by funding source
  • Work with vendors and contractors located domestically and internationally on negotiating agreements, tracking budgets, and resolving issues
  • Conduct periodic market research on global industry trends and draft white papers for internal or external use
  • Oversee online feedback surveys for international events, including conducting data analysis and drafting summary reports on findings and strategic recommendations
  • Conduct program evaluations and draft final reports to present to client executive leadership and the Board of Directors
  • Responsible for working with internal Executives, Customer Service, and Accounting teams to onboard and integrate new clients and manage existing client relationships
  • Enhance department and organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
  • Forecast and track key account metrics/goals, internal and external
  • Attend and present at client Board meetings or industry-related events
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining professional networks

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant field of study (International Business, International Studies/Relations, Business Administration, preferred)
  • 3+ years of work experience, consulting/account management background desirable
  • Proven financial management or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, strategic planning, and presentation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive in a results-driven environment

Work Hours & Benefits:
This role is a hybrid position that may require up to 1-2x/month in our DC/WA office. General working hours will be Monday-Friday between 8am-5pm, but flexible schedules are welcome. Applicants must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to DC, VA, or MD. This role also requires occasional domestic and international travel. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
